So I recently painted my front side panel chalkboard paint and I’m pretty happy about it.
This was just a quick simple design I did in 5 minutes (washed away in yesterday’s rain!) and I more recently went out and got a pack of multi-color chalk for future endeavors >:)
Love it? Hate it?
I had seen vinyls done on this panel and I think some can look awesome, so I decided to go the chalkboard route for a little unique touch and everchanging appearance. I would never do a whole car in chalkboard, but it’s been done well in the past and I was feeling inspired.

I’m going to find your car and draw penisses on the chalkboard part.

I think it’s pretty cool. Could be fun at a car show and get people to sign/draw on a car.

Or for me to find and draw sexual organs on.

Write something good with chalk on it ;)
Chalk in a sponsorship logo, or just write Type R or something

Oh man, that would be awesome if someone had chalkboard paint on their tailgate/trunk and drew a different performance logo underneath it every few days. Type-R, ST, SRT-8, and so on.

Well, it wouldn’t be a car show without a 12 year old to draw dicks on it, now would it?

Haha, damn straight!
My maturity level sits just around there.

I always wondered how exactly do you wash it. You can’t wax it, or you won’t be able to write on it. I would be a little concerned about putting it on metal in case someone writes on it too hard, and bends it.

I personally love it.

Wash it with water I guess *shrug*
It’s never going to be perfectly black because that’s just how used chalkboards are so I’m not worried about it.
I’ve never waxed my car before - this one included, most particularly because there’s a bit of bodywork that would need to be done (properly) otherwise I feel like waxing it will yeah, make it shiny and look clean, but also just bring out the flaws even more :/
Also, fair enough concern with the metal part but this body panel is pretty sturdy - probably because it is so small, unlike a door which you can push in pretty easily in the middle.
